One/ Two Day Course
This is a two-part course for occupational therapists and physiotherapists designed to provide practical ideas on how to put the current stroke guidelines into practice. Level of evidence and consensus recommendations will be discussed for your specific discipline and those relevant to the multidisciplinary team, and we will examine practical skills and strategies to implement the guidelines on the ward or outpatient settings. We will also discuss how to clinically reason the management of patient issues when the guidelines supply limited direction.
Course content:
Day one will be focussed on profession-specific guidelines e.g. mobility for physiotherapists; cognition/ ADLs for occupational therapists
Day two will be focussed on the MDT elements of assessment, intervention and management.
