Cognition – Identifying Deficits and Providing Intervention During Occupational Performance

This is a one-day course for occupational therapists.

This course is focussed on providing occupational therapists with the skills to effectively identify the cognitive and perceptual deficits of their neurological patients and provide effective, practical intervention. It will consider how cognition and perception are linked to function and how we can provide intervention that is functional taking into account cognitive and perceptual impairments.  It will also focus on communicating findings and plans for intervention to the MDT and carers involved.   It is focussed primarily on patients with strokes and head injuries, rather than progressive neurological disorders.
