Introduction to Clinical Reasoning

Clinical reasoning is a process in which a therapist, interacting with the patient and others (family carers etc), helps patients structure meaning, goals and health management strategies based on clinical data, patient choices and professional judgement and knowledge. Skill in making clinical decisions and plans, as well as critical self evaluation (based on reflective practice), are key to the delivery of high quality neurological rehabilitation.
